1888-S Liberty Head Eagle. MS-64 (PCGS). Vivid orange-rose surfaces are sharply struck with a fully frosted finish. A relatively common issue by 1880s Liberty Head eagle standards, the 1888-S is obtainable with ease in grades through MS-62 thanks to the discovery of many examples in foreign bank hoards. Few Choice Uncirculated pieces have come to light, however, and this is among the finest seen by PCGS. Outstanding quality and eye appeal for the advanced gold enthusiast.
