FS-901. Not only is the the FINEST example of this popular variety, but it also is one of the FINEST of the DATE (PCGS has graded just a single example finer). A recently discovered variant, first reported in February 2004; apparently Adolph Weinman's AW monogram was removed from the working die, as it was repaired by lapping. The die was fixed with a hand engraved monogram. Lustrous and PRISTINE, this SUPERB GEM has a touch of clear-gold and sky-blue on the blazing silver luster. Sharply struck and flawless, the eye appeal is simply amazing! PCGS 16, NGC 3, CAC (156 for all varieties combined). For the date/grade The last two PCGS/CAC MS67+s sold in our Regency Auctions, realizing $4,230 and $5,875 (January 2020 and September 2019 Regency Auctions respectively). The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $4,500, for the date; only a single MS68 has ever graded higher at PCGS, which if it came up for sale would bring $20,000. As the FINEST hand engraved initials, the demand for this one will be strong! Cert. Number 29332020 PCGS # 6622.00
