High Promises Collection. 197 graded MS-64, 54 higher at NGC. Famous as a strike rarity within the series, this example of 1927-S actually offers typically soft central details, with the edges of Liberty's fingers occasionally blending. Nevertheless, the coin offers decent luster which has developed moderate album toning on the obverse and a mixture of russet-orange and grey on the reverse.
