1870 Two-Cent Piece. Proof-65 BN (NGC). CAC. Despite a sharp increase in production over that achieved in earlier years of the proof two-cent series, the 1870 is equally as scarce as most other dates of the type. This handsome Gem exhibits subtle rose-apricot and pale-lavender undertones to dominant glossy-brown patina. Fully struck, and free of the detracting spotting and handling marks often associated with proof 1870 two-cent pieces.
