With exceptionally vivid, multicolored, target-like toning adorning both sides, this breathtakingly beautiful example is sure to sell for a strong premium. While obtainable enough in lower grades through EF, the 1848 is a heavily circulated issue that is scarcer in AU and Mint State preservation than one might expect for a Philadelphia Mint Liberty Seated dime issue with a mintage of 451,500 pieces might imply.
