Lot Description

1875-S Liberty Half Eagle. AU-53 (NGC). Attractive deep orange-gold hues, with clean surfaces that have minimal bag handling evidence. The strike is sharp, although the stars and ribbon show dramatic die lapping that is always seen on these, with thin obverse stars and the ribbon missing around TRUST. Mintage of 9,000 pieces and rare today.
