1909 Barber Quarter. Proof-67 (NGC). Boldly reflective with just a hint of frost on the motifs, more prominent on the reverse as often seen for Proofs of the era. Largely brilliant -- a burst of royal blue iridescence engages the lower left quadrant of the obverse, the balance of the coin with a pale champagne sheen. One of 650 Proof 1909 Barber quarters produced. Of the NGC-certified Proofs of the date, fewer than a dozen have been graded finer than the present specimen.
