Description du lot
THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION, PART IV Despite a generous mintage for the era of more than 2.5 million, the mintage went directly into circulation, where they would remain; any Mint State survivor is scarce; Choice and Gem examples are VERY RARE and appear in auction with extreme infrequency. . A rich, satiny mint frost glows boldly on both sides. This near-GEM is essentially untoned with a rich silver brilliance in the fields, highlighting the sharply struck devices. A blush of the faintest iridescent toning, mostly seen on the reverse. The eye appeal is exceptional. PCGS 3, NGC 3, CAC 3. The most recent example realized $8,225 in April 2017--nearly half a dozen years have passed since then. The current CAC CPG value is listed at $11,200 and the PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $10,000. VERY RARE finer with just five graded higher. Worthy of a very strong bid and placement in an advanced collection. Bid accordingly. Cert. Number 26321647 PCGS # 6259
