Lot Description

1876 Octagonal 25 Cents. BG-799. Rarity-4. MS-63 (PCGS). OGH--Second Generation. Bitron Gold Ingot. Prooflike fields offset the frosted devices, and quite handsome for the series. The surfaces are free of all but the tiniest signs of contact, and the color is classic orange-gold throughout. Curiously the reverse die was rotated about 100 degrees counter clockwise when struck.
