- High Promises Collection. Type II / II, doubled-die reverse. Obvious doubling shows on "420 GRAINS" and the arrows directly above, and at least a handful of DDRs are known for 1878-S. A wonderfully struck and utterly delightful example, this coin boasts an attractive layer of dusky power-grey toning that handily suppresses underlying mint luster. No abrasions require mention.
