Lot Description

1862 Silver Three-Cent Piece. Proof-66 * (NGC). Needle-sharp design features accentuate surfaces that are completely free of any hairlines. Primarily pale gold and bright silver toning at the centers is accentuated by rainbow peripheries on both sides. Only 550 proofs were minted of the issue, from which perhaps 40% to 50% still survive. Of those survivors, precious few are as well preserved as the present Gem, and few can compete with the exceptional eye appeal. PCGS# 3711. NGC ID: 27C9. Click here for certification details from NGC.
