Lot Description

1795 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-51, B-14. Rarity-2. Off-Center Bust. VG-10 (PCGS). A handsomely preserved example of this transitional, Small Eagle type. The slate-gray surfaces sport traces of blue and bronze iridescence in the protected areas of each side. The obverse shows scattered trivial marks, with one at Liberty's neck, but all are nicely worn into the overall aesthetic. Uniformly bold, with intricate and sharp design elements for the assigned grade. An attractive specimen ideal for both specialist and type purposes. PCGS# 39996.
