Description du lot
1927-D Lincoln Cent. MS-65+ RD (PCGS). Intensely brilliant luster and a very bold strike define this fabulous condition rarity. Though plentiful in lower grades, the 1927-D becomes scarce in EF and AU. Examples are exceptionally rare above Gem uncirculated. Only two Red pieces are graded finer than the present coin by PCGS, neither of which have sold at public auction. With color as pure as the day it was minted, the surfaces are nearing immaculate. The present coin is bound to set a new record for the date as Lincoln registry collectors battle for the best realistically attainable. PCGS Population: 28; just 2 finer (both MS-66 RD). PCGS# 2581. NGC ID: 22CN. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
