1873 Shield Nickel. Open 3. MS-63 (NGC). A silver-gray example with a bold strike and no detracting blemishes. With the aid of a loupe we can see prominent and very interesting machine doubling on the obverse, especially on the date and the lowermost elements of the shield and leaves.
