1824 Matron Head Cent. N-4. Rarity-2. AU-55 (NGC). Handsome deep brown surfaces that have substantial cartwheel frost remaining on both sides and no distracting marks. Traces of verdigris are noted at the final S of STATES, but the overall visual appeal remains quite strong. One of the tougher dates of the 1820s, 1824 cents are legitimately scarce in AU and higher grades.
