1787 New Jersey Copper. Maris 56-n, W-5310. Rarity-1. Camel Head--Overstruck on a Connecticut Copper--Good-4. 151.24 grains. Deep golden-brown with uniform microgranularity present throughout. Natural planchet fissures on both sides, as struck. Undertype details noted at the rims, though not readily apparent -- the host coin's bust details engage the shield on the reverse of the New Jersey type. PCGS# 515. Provenance: Paper envelope with attribution notes included.
