An undeniable Gem with smooth, frosty surfaces dusted with pale silver and gold iridescence. The FS-303 is the most frequently encountered of several overdate varieties for the 1883 Shield nickel, with some numismatists asserting that it accounts for 75% of examples. With the superior quality offered here, of course, no survivor of this final year issue is common.
