1874-S Liberty Head Eagle. EF-45 (PCGS). CAC. An attractively original piece bathed in warm honey-gold with tinges of pale rose also very much in evidence. Boldly defined and appreciably lustrous for the assigned grade. Just 10,000 pieces were produced for this issue at a time when gold coins enjoyed strong commercial demand on the West Coast and, indeed, the rigors of circulation claimed the vast majority of examples.
