1869 Seated Liberty Quarter. Briggs 2-B. Doubled Die Obverse. Proof-64+ Cameo (PCGS). All known proof 1869 Seated Quarters are examples of a Doubled Die Obverse error with minor doubling evident on the lowermost horizontal shield lines. This brilliant specimen is nicely contrasted in finish with a razor sharp strike throughout the design. A few wispy handling marks barely preclude a full Gem rating.
