Lot Description

1883-CC Liberty Eagle. AU-58 (PCGS). Frosty orange gold with soft underlying luster, fresh mint bloom at the devices, and excellent eye appeal. A rarity that saw a production run of 12,000 pieces, much of which circulated heavily, with the average grade today apt to be VF to EF as a result. Just one Mint State example of the date has been graded by PCGS, see below. Aesthetically and physically sound for the grade with a strong strike added to the mix. Choice is the operative word here.
