First of the half dime issues produced within the new United States Mint building, the 1794 is also the rarer of only two dates in the Flowing Hair series. Offered is a handsome pewter gray VF example with all major design elements bold. Wispy obverse handling marks will requite magnification to discern, the in-hand appearance pleasingly smooth and well composed. A desirable mid-grade survivor from this historic, key date issue.
