1877 Seated Liberty Half Dollar. WB-103. Type II Reverse. MS-65 (NGC). OH. Handsome blue-gray and sandy-apricot peripheral toning frames an otherwise silver-tinged obverse. The reverse is much more boldly patinated in a blend of rich steel-gray and antique-copper shades. Both sides are highly lustrous, the fields even revealing semi reflective tendencies as the coin dips into a light. This may be a common issue overall as Motto Seated half dollars go, but Gems such as this are scarce from a condition standpoint.
