- 1919-D Standing Liberty Quarter. MS-63 FH (PCGS). Sharply impressed with good luster quality for the grade, this piece is also noteworthy due to a lack of significant abrasions. A bit of golden iridescence is noted, especially for the obverse, but most angles reveal a nearly brilliant coin. A key-date Standing Liberty Quarter in all grades, the 1919-D has a limited mintage of 1.9 million pieces. With Full Head striking detail this issue is very rare as probably only 1% of the original mintage was produced with sufficient care to qualify for an FH designation (this estimate per J.H. Cline, Standing Liberty Quarters, 2007 edition).
