Lot Description

Deep orange-gold in color with frosty motifs and heavily mirrored fields. Wisps of fiery sunset-orange patina grace both sides. The Breen-Gillio reference calls this issue "a type coin as this portrait does not reappear elsewhere: head in higher relief, end of bust broad." Among the 15 examples of this variety certified by PCGS.
