Lot Description

1877-CC Liberty Seated Dime. Type II Reverse. MS-66 (PCGS). CAC. A wonderfully original Gem, the otherwise antique silver obverse exhibits mottled golden-russet and blue-gray patina around the periphery. The reverse is more evenly patinated in a blend of vivid antique gold, rose-apricot and powder blue iridescence. Fully frosted throughout with a sharp strike and silky smooth appearance. This is an uncommonly high quality survivor of an otherwise readily obtainable Carson City Mint dime issue, ideal for advanced mintmarked type purposes. PCGS Population: 45; 16 finer (MS-67+ finest).
