1888 Liberty Head Quarter Eagle. MS-65 (PCGS). Beautifully patinated in golden-rose, this expertly preserved Gem also sports billowy mint luster and sharp striking detail. Despite having a higher mintage than the preceding circulation strike quarter eagles from the 1880s, the 1888 was still produced in limited numbers when viewed in the wider context of U.S. Mint history.
