Brilliant mellowing RED color is brought out by bold, swirling original cartwheels. A few ancient toning spots attest to the originality of this VERY CHOICE Mint State 1852 large cent. Crisply struck up with fully rendered devices, the surfaces are just a hairsbreadth from a higher grade, with a couple of light contact marks seen in the fields. The eye appeal is excellent. PCGS 27, NGC 8, CAC 5. The PCGS Price Guide value is $2,350 and the CAC CPG value is $2,100. There are no records for a CAC-approved example since 2014. A lovely coin for type or date purposes.
