Undated (1853) Round 25 Cents. BG-221. Rarity-3. Liberty Head. MS-62 (NGC). This is an attractive example with luster quality and surface preservation that easily merits the grade assignment. Deep antique-gold color dominates the obverse, the reverse is much lighter with a prooflike appearance. An overall bold strike is also a praiseworthy attribute. Collectors assembling a set of California Fractional gold need look no further than the present lot as far as the BG-221 variety is concerned.
