Lot Description

Deep olive-orange color with wisps of iridescent pinkish-rose, both sides showcase reflective fields and frosted devices that form a significant cameo contrast, especially on the obverse. From the same dies as BG-1127, an 1875-dated piece, but with the digit 5 in the date crudely altered to a 6 by the maker. A product of Christoph Ferdinand Mohrig of San Francisco. Choice for the type with exceptional eye appeal.
