Lot Description

This is the scarcer of the two date logotypes of the 1873 Philadelphia Mint double eagle, and it is represented here by a boldly lustrous, flashy and vivid, Mint State example. The handsome surfaces are dressed in rich deep rose-orange color and, while they show minor marks accounting for the assigned grade, there are no sizeable or otherwise singularly distracting blemishes. Nice eye appeal for this inviting Brilliant Uncirculated example.
