Description du lot
FROM THE SEATTLE COLLECTION This is an incredibly RARE R-7+ three cent nickel die trial using the regular issue dies struck in copper. PCGS has graded three in all grades and designations. These were produced for collectors, in both copper and aluminum. Very reflective RED surfaces gleam from below a dusting of minor speckled toning which attests to the originality. This coin is essentially of FULL GEM quality and eye appeal, we are not sure why CAC did not approve it. PCGS 1, NGC 0. This coin has appeared in auction a few times, the most recent in October 2015, realizing $4,700. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $6,500 and this issue is VERY RARELY seen ever, this coin will end up in another great collection of patterns. Good luck! Cert.
