1807 Capped Bust Right Half Eagle. BD-3. Rarity-5+. AU-50 (PCGS). A lovely green-gold representative of this rare variety, with remarkably crisp striking definition and near-complete details, save for the eagle's breast feathers. Evenly worn with wispy marks, striae, and clash marks noted, none of which are overly distracting. From an estimated mintage of 2,500 to 5,000 coins only 35 to 45 examples of this die variety are believed to survive.
