1785 Nova Constellatio Copper. Crosby 4-D, W-1910. Rarity-4+. CONSTELLATIO, Pointed Rays. MS-63 BN (PCGS). 128.0 grains. A beautiful, conditionally scarce example of this important early Federal era type. Satiny and hard, the surfaces are fully lustrous with a noteworthy lack of detracting blemishes. Overall smooth, in fact, with a full endowment of lovely glossy brown patina. Rounding out a list of impressive physical attributes, the strike is bold to sharp throughout with even the most intricate elements of the eye fully rendered and crisp.
