- 1843 Seated Liberty Quarter. Briggs 2-C. AU-58 (NGC). This is the "Lightning Bolt" reverse of the 1843 Seated Quarter, so named for prominent die crack (as made) from the rim outside the letter C in AMERICA to the eagle's right (facing) wing. A minimally worn, lightly abraded survivor with champagne-pink peripheral toning around brilliant-white centers.
