Pretty golden-apricot iridescence adorns both sides, the color deepening at the borders. The reverse is much more boldly patinated at the rims. A bit lightly struck in the centers, as befits the issue, yet uncommonly smooth even on the obverse for a BU survivor of this conditionally challenging issue. The 1893-O is a key date Morgan dollar that boasts the lowest mintage among New Orleans Mint issues of the type (300,000 pieces).
