1903 Barber Quarter. Proof-68 Cameo (NGC). CAC. A towering Gem Cameo Proof that would grace even the most advanced collection as the surfaces are virtually perfect. Blazing bright white throughout with no hint of toning yet seen. The frost is undisturbed and the mirror fields are virtually perfect in preservation. A few minute planchet flakes are found with effort. Tied with a select group of 10 pieces at most seen at this lofty level by NGC, with a single coin noted finer. Mintage of 755 pieces for the year, and just a modest percentage of those display the Cameo contrast.
