- With two tiny flyspecks denying perfection for the obverse, it's clear that this is a superior gold dollar representing the Grant "no star" type. Hundreds of examples grade MS-66 but this one tops expectations with a marvelous strike, clean surfaces and lovely golden bloom throughout. Peach-magenta toning has begun to take over on the reverse.
