1799 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. B-16b, BB-158. Rarity-3. Bowers Die State IV. VF-25 (NGC). Light silver-gray with attractive surfaces for a mid grade coin. Later die state and here's the draw for specialists, as the left side of the obverse is shattered with heavy cracks and sinking, bold clashing is evident too. A patch of scrapes is noted between the final two stars on the obverse, another below AM on the reverse. Not a particularly rare variety, but this late die state coin is well worth a look.
