- 1788 Machin's Mills Halfpenny. Vlack 13-88CT, W-8080. Rarity-5-. GEORGIVS III. VF-25 BN (NGC). Brown surfaces microporous throughout. Well-centered on the obverse, GEORGIV weak but apparent, , swelling at III, no serious marks present, reverse rim to tops of INDE ET, die break at Liberty's ankles, large cud and die break at I of LIB, another crack from B clockwise across star and shield to globe, no serious marks present. Obverse style similar to the head of Ryder-13 and Ryder-27 in the Vermont copper series. PCGS# 472.
