Lot Description

A registry collector's dream with gleaming mint luster and no spots or distractions whatsoever. Some light weakness in strike on the first roman numeral and on the hair are all that disqualifies this from ultra-gem territory/perfection. The typical die clashing, die cracks, and Longacre doubling add interest. Tied with four other examples as the finest known for the date, yet this one remains one of just three that is CAC approved.
