1787 Nova Eborac Copper. W-5760. Rarity-3. Medium Bust, Seated Figure Right. EF-40 (PCGS). An interesting Nova Eborac copper that was struck slightly off center with misaligned dies. The obverse is off center nearly a full 10 degrees to 2 o'clock while the reverse is off about 5 degrees to just past 3 o'clock. Some natural planchet roughness is seen at the unstruck borders and a bit at the centers, but the original medium brown surfaces are otherwise problem-free. Offers exceptionally sharp detail in places including the obverse effigy's hair and the important New York state seal detail on the reverse shield. PCGS# 475. NGC ID: 2B49.
