U.K. Lorgnettes Collection. Cohen-9 begin attribution as a "crosslet 4, with stems" Redbook variety, and on the reverse, the lower right serif of "E" centers nicely above the gap in the leaves below. Unusually nice for the NGC grade, the cataloger has seen some so-called "Mint State" examples that were not this pretty. Slender traces of mint red trail up next to the portrait and there is even a noticeable trace of luster visible under a good, strong lamp. More important perhaps, the details are very well struck, such that even the leaves to the right of the ribbon on the reverse feature internal detail - almost never seen for C-9.
