- 1871 Liberty Eagle. AU-50 (PCGS). OGH. A paltry mintage of 1,790 business strikes confirms the rarity of the 1871-P Liberty Eagle in all grades. The present example is minimally worn with ample evidence of a prooflike finish--a significant attribute given that most survivors grade no finer than EF. Even olive-orange color throughout, with a sharp strike and few individually conspicuous abrasions.
