Tompkins Die Stage 4/1, Rea et al. Die State a. <strong>Tompkins Plate Coin</strong>. Unlike the 1835 Browning-4 example in the preceding lot, this coin displays the full Tompkins Obverse Die Stage 4 arcing crack from the lower border past star 13 to the left border outside star 3.<p><strong>Steve M. Tompkins Commentary:</strong> I love this die crack. I would have liked to find a higher grade example, and spent more than 23 years searching, but it gave me great pleasure having this Choice VF in my set.
