Lot Description

This is an old friend of ours, having been sold in both our Regency Auction IX and our October 2019 Regency Event: Exclusively Legend. Its quality is ULTRA HIGH END for the grade and borders on a DCAM designation and GEM quality. Deep, beaming mirrors are remarkably clean and have exceptional clarity. Untoned brilliant silver gleams, framed by a very narrow band of pale blue. The thickly frosted devices stand out boldly in stark Cameo contrast to the fields. There are only a few light lines visible with the aid of a strong glass. The eye appeal is tremendous! Only 1150 Proofs were struck. PCGS 24, NGC 14, CAC 5. The current Collectors Universe value is $4,500 in PR64 CAM and is $8,500 in PR65 CAM. This is the last one to sell, bringing $5,405 in our October 2019 sale. Good luck! Cert.
