Discovered by Walter Breen in 1953, the 1869/69 Repunched Date is one of the extremely popular and highly collectible varieties of the year. The present MS64 RB is a marvelously toned example with a bold luster. A veritable kaleidoscope of blues, purples, golds, reds, and greens burst off the surfaces. A few minor ticks are noted under the color and are visible with the aid of a strong glass. The eye appeal is excellent! PCGS 33, NGC 34. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $2,250.
