1849-O Seated Liberty Half Dollar. WB-101. MS-63 (PCGS). Plentiful enough in circulated grades, the 1849-O is very scarce-to-rare at the Mint State level of preservation. An uncommonly well-preserved Choice Unc, the coin we offer here retains a vibrant, satin-to-softly frosted finish on both sides. The obverse is lightly patinated in champagne-apricot iridescence, while the reverse exhibits warmer rose-gray toning. An otherwise sharp strike wanes along the upper-obverse border--a fairly common attribute for a Seated Half Dollar from the New Orleans Mint.
