1851 Liberty Head Half Eagle. MS-61 (PCGS). This sharply to fully impressed example is awash in a bold blend of satiny mint luster and vivid rose-orange patina. Rarer than a mintage of 377,505 pieces might imply, the 1851 is scarce even in EF and AU grades.
