Lot Description

Grellman Die State b. A vivid and beautiful piece that would support an EAC grade of MS63. Both sides retain abundant rose-red mint color which is nearly full on the reverse, the obverse with an intermingling of gray-brown iridescence over and before Liberty's portrait. The strike is sharp, the detail crisp, and only a few trivial carbon flecks on the obverse preclude an even higher numeric grade. This is a superior quality example of both the issue and Newcomb number that will delight its new owner.
