1865-S Liberty Quarter Eagle. AU-53 (NGC). 1905 Liberty Quarter Eagle. Proof-63 (PCGS). OGH. Although not particularly difficult to locate well worn and/or with significant impairments, the 1865-S quarter eagle is a heavily circulated Frontier era issue that is very scarce to rare above basal EF. The present example is lightly struck overall, but there is only minimal wear to pleasing rose-gold surfaces. Still partially lustrous, and uncommonly free of outwardly distracting abrasions.
